Care & Maintenance

Hurlingham's Hand Gilded service offers you a most unique and opulent finish. From a selection of real of faux gold, copper, pewter and bronze leaf, we give you the opportunity to create one of the most lavish and bespoke baths available, elevating the design of your bathroom to new heights.

The hand gilding of baths is a highly skilled process carried out over several phases. Several different leaf finishes are available, all of which can be bespoke to your requirements. Customers are welcome to meet Hurlingham's guilders to discuss their design objectives.

If a variegated leaf or paint finish is chosen, a completely random and irregular effect can be expected.

Care and Maintenance Instructions:

To maintain the pristine appearance of your bath, follow these cleaning and care instructions.

Start by creating a gentle soapy water solution and apply it using a soft cloth or sponge, using a brushing motion. Avoid abrasive materials like wire brushes, steel wool, or harsh sponge pads, as they can harm the surface. After applying cleaners, rinse the bath thoroughly with water and ensure the surface is completely dry after cleaning. It's important not to let cleaners sit or soak on the surface and to be cautious about dripping taps.

Lastly, refrain from using acidic cleaners or sprays, as they can damage the bath's surface and may lead to staining or the buildup of small brown particles on the enamel surface.
